Chapter 01

The Origin Story

I didn't set out to start an agency. I set out to do good work.

I studied marketing, sociology, journalism, and communications across three degrees at Griffith University in Queensland, Australia. Three very different disciplines that, in hindsight, all point to the same thing: I've always been obsessed with how people communicate, what captures attention, and why some things land and others don't. Turns out that's a pretty useful foundation for a career in advertising.

Chapter 02

The Training Ground

My first real break came at Megaphone, rated Australia's number one digital marketing agency at the time. I joined as a Junior Marketing Strategist and moved through four roles in under two years, finishing as Senior Creative Marketing Strategist.

It was there I started to develop the belief that would shape everything that came after: that creative is the actual lever in paid advertising, not the targeting, not the budget, not the bidding strategy. The creative.

The Deep End

I spent the next few years running paid social, working across ecommerce brands advertising on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest. It sharpened everything. You learn fast when it's just you and the results.

Then came WHD. I joined as Senior Paid Social Specialist and left almost two years later as Head of Paid Social. During that time I led creative and paid social strategy across Meta and TikTok for a portfolio of DTC brands. A lot of those brands were household names in Australia. Several of them advertised internationally across the United Kingdom, Europe, and the United States.

Chapter 04

The Move

By 2026 I'd ticked a lot of boxes. Head of Department title. International brands. Real results. But I'd also spent long enough inside other people's agencies to know exactly what I'd do differently if it were mine.

So I took the leap. Packed up, moved to London, and started Out of Office. A creative ads agency built around the one thing I kept coming back to throughout my entire career: creative is everything.

About Gigi

Every good origin story has a sidekick.

Gigi is a Cream Miniature Longhaired Dachshund, born on the 10th of March 2023. She came into my life at 8 weeks old and has been an office dog ever since, literally. She's grown up in workplaces, charmed every colleague and client she's ever met, and has ended up as the mascot of Out of Office.

Officially she's my dog. Unofficially she runs the place.
